Dr. Duncan Elly

Mentor

Duncan is a senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, University of Nairobi. Duncan holds research interests in Entrepreneurial Finance, Development Finance, Personal Finance and Corporate Finance. Earlier, Duncan served in the Kenyan banking industry as SME relationship manager and credit analyst with the roles on relationship creation, portfolio development and portfolio monitoring. He is a serving member of council of the Institute of Certified Investments and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) where he also serves as a director of the ICIFA college. Duncan is a founder of the Entrepreneurship Educators Foundation for Eastern Africa (EEFEA) an entrepreneurship ecosystem support player in the East Africa region. Duncan is also the founder and editor in chief of the African Development Finance Journal (ADFJ) and the Convener of the Annual Development Finance Conference.

Dr. Ambrose Jagongo

Mentor

Is a holder of PhD in Entrepreneurship Finance and MBA (Finance), is the Chair of Accounting and Finance Department at Kenyatta University, a member of Kenya Institute of Management, American Association of International Researchers and the Editorial Board for World Journal of Social Sciences. He specializes in Entrepreneurship Finance and was involved in Curriculum development of PhD in Business Administration (Finance) and MSc (Finance). He is a Co-Investigator in a Multi-Institutional Collaborative Consortium Research Grant awarded by National Research Fund (2021) titled Optimizing Parameters for the Proper Use of Face Masks to Reduce Severity of Underlying Infections for Enhanced Tolerance to COVID 19. He also negotiated a development grant from Agriculture and Food Authority for the establishment of KU Coffee House and Bakery (2021) and is a Co-Investigator in the British Council funded research grant for the Innovation for African Universities (IAU) Project titled: Youth Entrepreneurship Accelerator program.

Dr. Pamela Mreji

Mentor

Dr. Mreji is a lecturer and innovation champion at the Technical University of Kenya and is also an Adjunct Faculty at Strathmore Business School where she teaches Innovation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship development. She holds a PhD in Business Administration from GIBS- the University of Pretoria, an MSc in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from Manchester Business School, UK and an MBA in Strategic Management from Maseno University, focusing on management of small and medium enterprises. She is currently undertaking her Postdoctoral Research Fellowship with the DST/NRF/Newton Fund Trilateral Research Chair in Transformative Innovation, 4IR and Sustainable Development at the University of Johannesburg and is also a Queen Elizabeth Scholar with the Open African Innovation Research network (Open AIR) where she is undertaking research focusing on acceleration of women and youth enterprises within makerspaces in Kenya and Johannesburg.

Dr. John Otieno Oredo

Mentor

Lectures in the Departments of Information Science and Management Science at the University of Nairobi (UoN) and was previously a Research Associate at Kenya Education Network (KENET). He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Strategic Information Systems, UoN), MSc. IT (Strathmore); and B.Ed (Moi). John is trained in scientific communication and publishing (UON); E-Learning Course Design (ETSU, PASGR), Faculty Support in Online Course Development (EDUCAUSE) and Pedagogical Leadership (PASGR). He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Big Data Engineer (IBM Certified) and Artificial Intelligence Analyst (IBM Certified). He is trained in Supply Chain Resilience (Kuhne Logistics University-Germany). John has published and reviewed for refereed journals in Information Systems (IS) and serves as a Senior Editor for the Information Technology & People. John is an active member of: ISACA, INFORMS, PMI, and AIS (President, East African Chapter). John is skilled in Project Management (certified), Data Analytics, Data Protection, Research Methods and Digital Systems.

Fredrick Ndede

Mentor

Is a senior lecturer of Finance and Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance in the School of Business at Kenyatta University. A holder of PhD in Finance, MCom, BCom and Certificate in Public Relations. Fredrck is full member of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), member Kenya Non-Fiction Authors Association, a Key Expert with the AESA Consortium for the training of Core Business Skills and Life Skills in the Youth Empowerment in the Kenya Government World Bank funded project “Kenya Youth Employment and Opportunities Project (KYEOP)”, trained in the development of blended modules and a recipient of Professional Development Named Award in 2021, a case writer and instructor, peer reviewer for National Commission for Science and Technology and Innovations (NACOSTI) and a reviewer of journal articles, researcher and publisher, supervisor and examiner, and an administrator. These are besides being a stakeholder in many ways.
